The movement of air

2015 — 1h

Frontal performance for three dancers blending choreography, projected visuals and music to reveal the invisible movement of air.

“Give substance to the imperceptible: reveal the invisible movement of air and its infinitely nuanced paths. In dreamland, air flows soft and slow, crisp and clear, powerful yet subtle. A velvety voice tells the tale of one breath, guiding audiences through a daydream where the limits of possibility have vanished. Pictures escape their frame to become playgrounds and playmates for weightless acrobats. No technical feat but a dreamlike exploration of movement; no narrative, but a story told in visual language. One single aspiration: follow the movement of air to open and shift boundaries, with unbound ankles and untied wrists. Let the dream of flying win over the fear of falling.”

Claire Bardainne & Adrien Mondot

Digital artistry is generated and animated in real time, and original music is played live on stage.
